Teresa and her husband, Mark, moved to Sanibel in 1986 during their first visit to the islands. They were drawn to Sanibel's small-town charm, reminiscent of their hometown in East Tennessee.

Teresa earned a merchandising degree from the University of Tennessee. In 2006, she obtained her Florida Real Estate license, the Graduate Realtor® designation, and the Sanibel Captiva Island Specialist certification. She further enhanced her credentials by earning her Broker's License in 2016.

Whether working with sellers or buyers, she is described as knowledgeable, hardworking, accessible, trustworthy, enthusiastic, and possessing integrity.

After several years in the real estate industry, Teresa transitioned to VIP Realty Sanibel and Captiva in 2016. She has consistently ranked among the top sales agents each year and was a member of the Chairman's Club and President's Club at her previous brokerage for nearly ten years. In 2022, she was honored with the Associate of the Year award. Following the recent sale of VIP Realty, Teresa has decided to join Royal Shell Real Estate, a highly respected brokerage that has been part of the island community for 29 years.
